Content Management
Deleting, archiving and restoring Learning Plans and Learning Resources
At every stage of creating/editing a Learning Plan/Resource, you can delete, archive or restore depending on their status.
What is a Stream?
Streams are a way of grouping learning material about a topic. You can add a Learning Resource to a stream so that it will appear when searching for that particular stream.
It provides an opportunity to categorise the training in a means other than job description or department - you can label it Policies and Procedures, or Staff Management, Prioritisation, Reward and Retain; allowing Learners to explore the content in a different manner.
You create streams when you are creating a Learning Resource; by default you don't have any to start with, but Content Administrators can create them as they create their resources.
What is a Learning Plan?
The Learning Plan is a fully customisable, easy-to-explore way to present curriculum to your Learners. Learning Plans can be assigned to specific Job Descriptions, you can create sections and headers, you can insert instructions or explanatory text and alter the content to appear in any order for the Learner.
Plus, you can customise the order that users should attempt the content (or, you can enforce it using prerequisites). Your Learning Plan can then be assigned to any of the Job Descriptions in your data.
Once your Learning Plans are created and assigned, all of your Learners will instantly see a fully populated dashboard with training they can complete right now - as well as a new Learning Plan that they'll be dying to turn into green ticks.
How is 'Next Up' on the Dashboard generated?
Next Up is generated via the training that is assigned to a job description via their Learning Plans.
If you want to alter the order of items in the Next Up list, then you simply alter the order of the items in the Learning Plan.
Additionally, icons plays an important role in the Next Up section; training type is clearly identified by icons, along with the duration - this ensures the Learner can make a quick decision on what they can achieve with the time and resources at their disposal.
What is a 'TRAK Page'?
A TRAK Page is a highly flexible area of your TRAK Platform that allows for you to create homes for your various departments or subject groups.
You can create one for each of your organisations' departments, for example, Sales. Then, you can store resources and links here, such as useful documents and resources, or links.
- Press Releases
- POS Marketing Material Order Form
- Customer Survey Results
- Bulletins
- Links to external sites all in one place for your Learners
Or, you could make an Aftersales Page, and allow only relevant learners to see the page. Then, you could map all of your related training to the Aftersales Page. Or, you may have some specific sub-pages required for Aftersales.
Maybe you want to have a sub-page on Apprentices, Diagnosis Tools, Tool Order Forms and Useful Links & Resources. This will create a nice little home for all of your content, and it won't clutter up the view of other Learners.
